Start the New Year by Fighting Holiday Fat with Free Online Support

Fight Holiday Fat by AlliIt’s hard to believe tomorrow is the start of a new year. Since most of the holiday festivities have past, I am been thinking about ways to eat healthier and become more fit. With my three kids being so close in age, this is the first time in about four years I can actually set some goals and work to get fit without being pregnant or nursing. I am excited to get started and have been trying to find ways to keep myself on track. With a busy schedule, it is hard to stay focused. A couple weeks ago, I signed up for Let’sFightFat.com in hopes of finding some online support to assist me in reaching my health goals.

LetFightFat.com has a lot of great features that will allow me to stay focused, motivated and learn how to get fit. After I signed up (for FREE), I was prompted to customize my 120 day program. This included a start date, exercise preferences, meal plans,  current weight, and weight goal. Then, based on current weight, target weight, and body type, I was given a number of calories allowed during the program. Mine is 1180. I can handle that. I have really been trying to watch my calories and now with the program, I can easily track each calorie daily.  There are also healthy recipes to search through with nutritional facts. If I decide to make a recipe, I can easily add it to my calorie intake with just a click. I love the convenience.

I really enjoy the easy, viewable schedule. Each day I get a new tip or exercise routine to help me get fit and stay healthy. I can mark it complete and add it to my log after I do the routine and keep track of my progress. There is also a journal area to write down how I am feeling along the way. I like to jot down my own motivational thoughts that I can look back on if I get off track. I believe self-motivation is the key to success, even if I need addition motivation.

I’ve been Indulging in #LightIcedCoffee – Coffeehouse Flavor Without the Guilt

It’s no secret, I am a lover of coffee. Not a day goes by that I don’t drink at least two cups. One of my favorite coffee drinks is iced coffee. However, I don’t drink it as much as I would like because at a coffee shop it is too expensive to purchase daily and I don’t have time to make my own at my house. Norton Spot Helps Protect Android Phones from Madware

In this technology-driven world, but sons have managed to easily learn how to use a tablet and smartphones. It didn’t take long before Ethan was downloading new games and apps and teaching himself how to play them. One day I was looking at our Samsung Galaxy Tablet powered by Android and noticed some new shortcuts for ‘Free Apps’ and ‘Free Job Search’ and a bunch of similar notification in the notification bar. I deleted the shortcuts and cleared the notifications, but had no idea where they came from. The only thing I knew to do was delete most of the apps on the tablet (which my son was not very happy about).

I recently learned about Madware and it has shed some light on these annoying new shortcuts and notifications. Madware is aggressive mobile adware that affects Android devices. It uses aggressive techniques to place advertising in photo albums, calendar entries and push messages to your notification bar. Madware can even go so far as to replace ringtones with an ad. After I learned about Madware, I looked at the tablet’s photo gallery and found 5 new photo folders with pictures that were ads. Seriously? That is insane! Most apps, especially free ones, have some form of ads and Madware is becoming more and more frequent. No only do you have to deal with all those ads while using the app, but now ads are being placed all over your device that you will see when you are not using the app. Less popular apps are 135% more likely to contain the worse forms of Madware than popular apps.

Last week, I shared with you my quick tips for potty training and the start of the potty training journey with my two year old. So far things are going pretty well. We’ve had some struggles, but that is expected. Some days he doesn’t want to use the potty at all, but we work through it with patience. I know that each and every flush is a reason to celebrate. Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! is Coming to the Fox Theatre on January 18th

Yo Gabba Gabba Live in St. LouisOne of my sons’ favorite shows is Yo Gabba Gabba. They love dancing around the house and singing the songs even when the show is not on. I just found out that Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get the Sillies Out! is coming to the Fox Theatre next month! I have heard great things about their live shows and I cannot wait to take my kids. The shows are very interactive and fun for the whole family.
