Happy (late) Friday! I am writting this a lot later than I hoped to, but I wanted to get it up since I haven’t had much time to do one in a few weeks. Things have been extra hectic and it seems like every Friday this month has not gone as planned. I am holding my head up high though, as we end the month and get ready for a big September.

For the majority of my life, I have always had a dog by my side. One that is not only a pet, but also a member of the family. I will never forget my first dog, as a kid, Corki. I’m excited to say that we have survived two weeks of school. Ethan loves Kindergarten, he hasn’t been late (yet) and I haven’t forgotten to pick him up! That is all an accomplishment in it’s own. But there is one thing I am still having a hard time with… weeknight dinners.

I am a lover of routines and schedules. No matter what is going on, or what we are preparing for, I have a schedule for it. If something gets done repeatedly, even yearly, I have a routine for it. It helps me get through our hectic days and helps my kids stay on track.

5 years ago, right after I became a mom, I knew my life would never have slow or boring moments again. I realized my days would consistently be filled and my ‘to-do’ lists would be never-ending. Parenthood and adulthood can come with rough days, be frustrating, and downright stressful. I’m not alone here, right? There is always so much going on. We are trying to be at five places at once. We are trying to multitask when we are already doing three other things. Sometimes, we just need a laugh.

The summer is a great time to get out and explore family attractions around town. Last year we took our two oldest boys to Grant’s Farm and they really enjoyed it. Last week seemed perfect to take all three of my little adventurers to see what kind of fun we could get into together. Caution: This post is slightly picture-heavy :)
