A Family Weekend Getaway at Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark in Branson, MO

We were provided with a two-night stay at Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark in Branson, MO. All opinions are my own.

Years and years ago, my husband and I loved going on road trips and traveling. Three kids later, those things seemed nearly impossible and honestly, quite intimidating. How could we sanely manage three kids under the age of 4 in unknown territory? How would we survive? However, this year I knew the impossible had to be conquered.

Travel Time Magnetic Kit – Creative Play On-the-Go

I received Imagine I Can Travel Time for review purposes. All opinions are my own

This weekend we are going on our first family road trip (one of two this month). We are taking our older two boys (3 &4) to Branson for a couple nights. It is a four hour drive and I am not quite sure how they are going to handle it. I have been trying to find things to take so they don’t get bored easily while we are on-the-go.

DIY Summer Road Trip Kits & Memory Box for the Whole Family

These DIY summer road trip kits & memory boxes are part of a sponsored campaign for #CollectiveBias. All opinions expressed are my own.

I have always loved road trips. Almost immediately after I started driving, my friends and I would plan a handful of road trips each summer. Last summer was the first time I went on one in years, but we didn’t take the kids. I have always thought about where we can go as a family, but how would I, or we, survive?

We Booked our Family Weekend in Branson at Castle Rock Resorts

I am being provided with accommodations at Castle Rock to review, however I am not required to write this post and all opinions expressed are my own.

Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark

Since having three kids, we have yet to go on a family vacation. The main reason is trying to find the right family-friendly places that can make the stay comfortable for everyone. I am extremely excited that we finally booked our first trip with the kids for this May.

We didn’t want to travel extremely far, therefore Branson, MO was a good choice (traveling from St. Louis). The drive will be about four hours and then we will be staying at Castle Rock Resort & Waterpark for three days.

Castle Rock Resort offers a 30,000 square foot indoor waterpark and 10,000 square foot outdoor waterpark. They also have an on-site restaurant, a 24-hour arcade and gift shop, and day spa & salon. That seems like a little something for everyone.

I know the waterpark will be the kids’ favorite part, but the most attractive thing for me are the rooms. The one we will be staying in has a built in Kiddie Cove (6′x4′) with a bunk bed and its very own 19″ flat screen TV. Being the first time staying at a hotel, this will make the kids stay much easier and enjoyable.

There is still lots of planning I want to do, but I can’t wait for May to get here!
