Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger with Jennie-O and Wholly Guacamole {Recipe}

Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger Recipe

Recently, you may have noticed a pattern in my articles regarding my desire to eat healthier. It has not just stemmed as a New Years Resolution, but as my inclination to keep the recently shredded pounds/baby weight off. Sometimes, when I find companies that offer great foods that are also good for me, it really makes my health-eating easier. Two brands I have been using lately include Jennie-O Turkey Store and Wholly Guacamole.

Start the New Year by Fighting Holiday Fat with Free Online Support

Fight Holiday Fat by AlliIt’s hard to believe tomorrow is the start of a new year. Since most of the holiday festivities have past, I am been thinking about ways to eat healthier and become more fit. With my three kids being so close in age, this is the first time in about four years I can actually set some goals and work to get fit without being pregnant or nursing. I am excited to get started and have been trying to find ways to keep myself on track. With a busy schedule, it is hard to stay focused. A couple weeks ago, I signed up for Let’sFightFat.com in hopes of finding some online support to assist me in reaching my health goals.

LetsFightFat.com

LetFightFat.com has a lot of great features that will allow me to stay focused, motivated and learn how to get fit. After I signed up (for FREE), I was prompted to customize my 120 day program. This included a start date, exercise preferences, meal plans,  current weight, and weight goal. Then, based on current weight, target weight, and body type, I was given a number of calories allowed during the program. Mine is 1180. I can handle that. I have really been trying to watch my calories and now with the program, I can easily track each calorie daily.  There are also healthy recipes to search through with nutritional facts. If I decide to make a recipe, I can easily add it to my calorie intake with just a click. I love the convenience.

Lets Fight Holiday Fat Schedule with Alli

I really enjoy the easy, viewable schedule. Each day I get a new tip or exercise routine to help me get fit and stay healthy. I can mark it complete and add it to my log after I do the routine and keep track of my progress. There is also a journal area to write down how I am feeling along the way. I like to jot down my own motivational thoughts that I can look back on if I get off track. I believe self-motivation is the key to success, even if I need addition motivation.

I am looking forward to continuing the use of LetsFightFat.com through the new year and if you are looking for a weight management resource, I encourage you to try it out as well. It’s FREE! Sign up here.

I’ve been Indulging in #LightIcedCoffee – Coffeehouse Flavor Without the Guilt

International Delight Light Iced Coffee #LightIcedCoffee #CBias

It’s no secret, I am a lover of coffee. Not a day goes by that I don’t drink at least two cups. One of my favorite coffee drinks is iced coffee. However, I don’t drink it as much as I would like because at a coffee shop it is too expensive to purchase daily and I don’t have time to make my own at my house. To enjoy iced coffee at home, I found that drinking International Delight Iced Coffee was my answer. But I had a dilemma. I have just about lost all my baby weight (yay!) and I am really starting to watch my sugar and calorie intake. I was dreading the thought of fewer iced coffees in my life. How would I get through my hectic day without that one indulgent drink that puts a smile on my face?  Fortunately, International Delight heard my plea and is introducing their New Light Iced Coffee.

How I Enjoy Restaurant-Style Salads at Home with Lean Cuisine #BYOL

Lean Cuisine Salad Additions #BYOL #CBias

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably know from my profile that ‘I am probably craving a salad right now.’ I enjoy them so much I could literally eat a salad for every meal. However, just because I am craving one doesn’t mean I get a chance to indulge in one daily. During meal time, I tend to only focus on my kids (3, 2 & almost 1). By the time I get their lunch prepared, food on the table and start to feed my 11 month old, I realize I forgot about myself. Most days I end up just grabbing some (unhealthy) snack foods and more days than not, I really don’t eat lunch.

My goal lately has been to stop skipping meals and start eating healthier. I would love to have a salad everyday, but I have to find something that is quick and easy to make. When I was making a late night run to Walmart last week, I may have found my match made in heaven.
