Chewy Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Karo® Corn Syrup, Light
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1½ cups chocolate chips
  • ½ cups pecans, chopped
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375°F
  2. Add softened butter and sugar to a large mixing bowl. Beat until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the Karo® Corn Syrup, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add in the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and baking powder. Beat until completely mixed.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
  6. Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto a lightly greased baking sheet, spaced out about 2-3 inches.
  7. Bake for approximately 10 minutes, until lightly browned. The middle of the cookies may not look done right out of the oven, but they will brown up quickly.
  8. Remove from the pan and place them on a wire rack to cool.
