“I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pull-Ups. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.” #PullUpsAcademy

Last month when I visited Kimberly-Clark Headquarters, I learned about some valuable potty-training tips and resources. Between the many tips, resources, and products, I couldn’t wait to share it all with my friends. What better way to do that than to host a potty-training playdate party!

Potty training is a journey that marks a huge milestone for toddlers and parents. As a mother of three, ages 5 and under, one would think potty training should be breeze. However, it definitely is not. I am down to one in diapers and even though I am ready for him to be potty trained, he still has other plans.

Our Pull-Ups ‘First Flush’ Party

We have been working hard to get my two year old potty trained. He has been doing pretty good at telling me when he has to go potty and making it to the restroom in time. In the mornings, he asks to wear his race car Pull-Ups (since they have McQueen on them) so I know he wants to keep up the good work and keep trying. I would say that overall, it has been a success. I would not say that we are 100% done yet, but it is worth being happy about and I know it is in the near future. To celebrate the potty training milestone, I hosted a Pull-Up’s ‘First Flush’ party with six of our friends and their toddlers that are currently potty training or about to start. There is no better way for a kid to feel good about potty training than a party!

I’m a Pull-Ups ‘First Flush’ Ambassador

Huggies Pull-Ups Party

Last week, I shared with you my quick tips for potty training and the start of the potty training journey with my two year old. So far things are going pretty well. We’ve had some struggles, but that is expected. Some days he doesn’t want to use the potty at all, but we work through it with patience. I know that each and every flush is a reason to celebrate. We like to celebrate each flush with an enthusiastic high five, but of course a big brother’s high-five is better than a Mom’s. His three year old brother has been encouraging him just as much as I have. I couldn’t be more proud of the two of them.

This week, I am proud to announce that I am a Pull-Ups ‘First Flush’ Ambassador! Over the next month I will share with you our progress, more potty training tips and more.  I will also be hosting a Pull-Ups “Why Wait – Let’s Celebrate! First Flush Party” for my friends and their children in January. The party is sure to be full of fun and games.

Do you have a little one that is currently potty training or about to start? If so, you can apply to host your very own ‘First Flush’ party! If selected you will get a Party Pack that includes:

My two older sons are 2 & 3 and are only 14 months apart in age. My two year old always wants to be like his big brother, do everything he does and follow his lead. My oldest has been pretty much potty-trained for awhile now and last week it was clear Chase wanted to be as well. One morning as Ethan got a new pair of underwear, Chase also got one, handed it to me and said he wanted to wear them too and be a ‘big boy like Ethan’. Throughout the day, he showed more signs of his readiness and eagerness to start his potty training journey. He would tell me when he wet his diaper and asked to sit on the potty a few times. I say it’s time for some training pants!
