This year my allergies have been rough. I say ‘seasonal’ allergies questionably, because it hasn’t seemed as seasonal as in the past. Typically, in the spring my allergy symptoms are the worst. However, this year, they still haven’t gotten much better. At least not without medicine.

Typical-Day-Seasonal-Allergies

For the last four to five months I have started my day the pretty much the same. The morning must start with a cup (or two, or three) of coffee. While I am waking up and downing sipping on my coffee, I plan my day out, almost hour by hour. If I don’t, things just don’t get done.

Then I have to check my emails and finish up any work that needs to be done for the morning. This is all before I start worrying about the little ones and their breakfast. While I should be able to get moving by then, most days I need more.

ZYRTEC

It is necessary that I also take one ZYRTEC® tablet, or my day is just about ruined. This year my allergies have been rough and my sinus congestion has gotten the best of me. The pressure and swelling is often unbearable. My eyes start to hurt, becoming itchy and watery. Then it makes me irritable.

With three fully-energized boys, my days are extremely busy and I don’t have time to be down from allergies. Luckily, ZYRTEC® provides symptom relief for 24 hours. One of those little pills in the morning is all I need. Within an hour of taking a tablet, it starts working and I am ready to start running our errands and chasing around the kids.

However, while fighting the symptoms on the inside are important, there’s also the need to combat the dreaded ALLERGY FACE®. There’s nothing like going out and people asking if I am feeling fine, or if anything is wrong, just because my eyes are watery, my nose is red, or my face is all puffy.

Barest Beauty

To help with those problems, ZYRTEC® has teamed up with celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg. She has really helped me when it comes to tackling the beauty challenges of the ALLERGY FACE® with six different makeup looks. Some beauty tips that have helped me include using a green-tinted concealer to correct redness and blue mascara makes eyes look whiter. See all six looks and more makeup tips on the ZYRTEC® Facebook page and on the video below.
