Being in the middle of various sporting seasons, weekend rituals involve game time watch parties and gatherings. Which also means a large variety of delicious appetizers and foods. The most popular ones?
Hot and spicy. And I hate to pass up some of my favorite dishes, but sometimes heartburn can get the best of me. Not just heartburn here or there, but I get bouts of frequent heartburn, every few months it seems.

Smoked Spicy Bacon-Wrapped Onion Rings Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3-5 small Vidalia onions
- bacon
- ¼ cup sriracha
- 3 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- Dipping sauce – ¼ cup ranch, 2 tablespoons sriracha, green onions
Preheat the smoker to 225.
Cut onions into ¼ – ½ inch slices. Separate the slices into rings. Save the smaller ends and inside pieces for other recipes that use diced onions.
Mix the sriracha, mustard, and garlic salt in a small bowl, then brush the mixture onto each onion ring.
Tightly wrap a piece of bacon around each onion ring. If you use larger onions, you may need to use two pieces of bacon to cover the whole onion ring.
Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
Place them in the smoker for 2 hours.
*No smoker? You can grill or bake them for 30 mins at 400 degrees.
For the dipping sauce: Mix ¼ cup ranch, 2 tablespoons sriracha, a handful of diced green onions. Feel free to use more or less sriracha, to preferred taste.

- Place them in the smoker for 2 hours
