I may not have much experience yet for back-to-school shopping, but I know a lot about shopping with little ones.  It can sometimes be a headache and a hassle, but it doesn’t have to be that bad. There are ways to get the little ones excited through the whole process and for parents to keep their sanity.

My oldest is four and he is already telling me about how he wants to go to school. The bus stop is at the corner of our yard and he often tries to go out with the neighbors to catch a ride on the bus. This year, instead of him going to preschool, we decided to do preschool in-home so all three of our sons will benefit. Since Ethan has wanted to go to school, I am trying to set up everything up to make it the best experience for him and more school-like. This week we headed to Gordmans and do some back-to-school shopping to give them some new clothes for the fall and our in-home school year.

As I said, shopping with three little kids isn’t easy. The best way to do it is with a game plan with minimal stops. I love that Gordmans carries a large variety of products including brand name clothes, toys, decor, accessories, fragrances, books, and more. I can get things for the kids, my husband, our home, and even myself.

They carry only top quality items with savings of up to 60% off the competitors prices every day. Their price tags show the savings of their low prices and your savings. I always find great deals on name brand items.

I always get my sons involved in the shopping so they become more excited and I have their attention. I let them pick out at least one outfit, such as what they want to wear on their first day of school. With the low prices, my mind is at ease when they are selecting items. Ethan picked out a Superman ‘Man of Steel’ hoodie and pants set. It was priced at out $12.99. That’s a great deal for a two-piece character outfit.

After a short time, they started losing focus, but I wasn’t done looking at the kids’ apparel.  It is easy to just give up and leave, but luckily, I found Gordmans Giggles. Right in the middle of the section was this children’s theatre with fun seating and a large-screen TV planning Disney Junior. The kids loved watching it and playing on the large seats. It made clothes shopping a little easier.

If all goes well, I treat the kids with a small toy, book, or ice cream. Since they were behaving, we ventured to the toy section and I found a section of summer toys on sale for 75% off. With the already low prices, this was a huge discount. I allowed each of my sons to pick out a toy from the section to reward them for the successful shopping trip. That always excites them.

I spent $33 on 9 items and with all the sales and low prices, I saved $101! That is a great shopping trip, especially with all three kids with me.

Upon checking out, I also opted to sign up for the Gordmans gRewards Loyalty program. The program comes with benefits that include earning one point for every dollar spent, receiving a $10 reward for every 200 points earned, and a special birthday discount of an additional 10% off an entire purchase.
