Trying to find time to take a non-rushed shower these days is next to impossible. I don’t know of any moms that have time to take a 30-minute (or longer) shower (or bath) every day. I mean, I’m sure there are some out there, but it’s not me. And with short, rushed showers comes no time for shaving my legs. I try to make time occasionally, but it’s not as often as I should.

Topping a cookie or cupcake with a fun design can make a huge difference in a dessert. I enjoy finding cute ways to add character to my baked goods and bring it to life. These almond cookies are no different. With all the warm weather and gardening, I think of beautiful flowers. I came up with a creative way to add a flower to almond cookies using almond slices.

There are days that I am amazed at how fast my three year old is growing up. I am even more amazed at how eager he is to learn new facts or try unfamiliar things. Every single day, he pushes me to challenge him. As I try my best to come up with new activities or games, there are days when I don’t have much time and it is more convenient to have kit or two around the house.
