Disclosure: I’m proud to partner with O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar for this opportunity. I am being sponsored to help lead this campaign, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all claims and details shared can be verified by O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar.

While I love cooking everyday and family dinners are important to me, sometimes dinner just doesn’t make it on the table.  Right now through September O’Charley’s Restaurant + Bar has a promotion perfect for the busy back to school season.

Keep-In-Touch Box Gift Idea

This Keep-In-Touch Box Gift Idea tutorial has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BTSSpirit #CollectiveBias

With back-to-school season the kids are all headed back to class and it’s not just the little ones. Older kids and adults are headed to college, often living on campus or hours away from home. It’s a whole new adjustment for families and students alike.

St. Louis Trike Riot Saturday 8/20/16 in Chesterfield

**PLEASE NOTE: Due to a logistical issue with the truck bringing the trikes, they postponed the Trike Riot until next Sunday, August 28th.

5K events are a fun way to get out, exercise and get a nice run in. There are various types of 5K that are more than just running those 3.10 miles. Some have obstacles, color throws or dirt & mud. But have you heard of the Trike Riot?

Outdoor Play Idea – Kid’s Relays + DIY Kid’s Relay Baton

This kid’s relay baton tutorial was written as part of my Let’s Play ambassadorship. Let’s Play is an initiative by Dr Pepper Snapple Group that provides kids and families with the tools, places and inspiration to make active play a daily priority by building and improving playgrounds and donating sports equipment to groups in need. Even though I am being compensated, I fully believe in the initiative. All opinions are my own.

Outdoor play is essential for kids. Active play lets kids release all that endless energy, plus it gets their eyes off the television and tablets. You can easily create simple activities and games outside with little or no toys needed. Simple play can be the best play.

Using a Baby Monitor for Older Kids & Their Independence

This blog post about kids’ independence is brought to you by VTech and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

It feels like just yesterday my kids were little babies depending on me for every single one of their needs. We all get that feeling sometimes right? One day we are rocking them to sleep after a midnight bottle and the next they are making their own lunch and off to school. If I had a nickel for every time I have said, ‘They grow up too fast’, I’d be a millionaire.
