Month after month and year after year, I keep finding myself saying ‘where does the time go? I honestly can’t believe we are almost through 2019. Each year keeps flying by and as the kids get older, our schedules seem to be getting busier and busier.
Then we enter the holiday season. The next month and a half we will be hosting a handful of dinner & holiday parties. Spending time with loved ones all while fitting in household chores, shopping, countless errands, etc. All that has already started.
If you follow me on social media, you know that we do a lot of meal prep and homemade cooking. Spending that time with the family is essential. We take that time to slow down a little, enjoy good food, chat about things going on, etc.
As we are on-the-go more this month, it just makes sense to eat out at times. That doesn’t mean we have to compromise our desire of trying to eat better. We know we can get a well-balanced, fast, affordable meal at Panda Express, the creator of the Original Orange Chicken.
What makes it even better for my family is that the menu offerings are very customizable. That way the kids can order their meal, just as they prefer. The kids’ meals also come with a drink, fortune cookie, and chocolate chip cookie, which always is a win with the kids.
Panda Express offers premium proteins, handcrafted sauces, and freshly chopped vegetables. Normally with all their delicious choices, I have a hard time deciding what to get.
However, last week when we stopped by, I was thrilled to finally get the Honey Sesame Chicken since it has returned to the menu.
You can also look for the Wok Smart logo when making selections. These Wok Smart dishes pack at least 8g of protein and have 300 calories or less.
Delicious food and quality time with family is a definite weekend highlight. Plus, one less load of dishes I had to do.
