With summer in full swing and my oldest son home every day, I do what I can to fit learning into our activities. Pulling out an activity book sometimes works, but isn’t as fun as hands-on learning and definitely doesn’t hold their attention as long. As part of our family, Ellie is always getting attention from someone. The minute I sit down, she jumps in my lap. When we go for walks, she is right there with us. When she wants to play, she drops toys at our feet to let us know and the fun begins.

If you ask my kids, they will tell you that snack time doesn’t come often enough in our house. They are rapidly growing boys that seem to be hungry every waking moment. The easiest way I keep up with a clean house is by handling small chores throughout each day. This includes simple things like wiping off the counters, vacuuming, swiping, putting things way, hand washing dishes that didn’t make it to the dishwasher, etc. Then each day I pick a room to get more of a deep cleaning or that needs organized.

Father’s Day is just around the corner. I show the dads in my life unconditional love year-round, however I still like to give them something personal on Father’s Day. Something with a special meaning behind it. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with the right gift, but when it comes to my dad, anything car related is a win.
