No matter what season it is or holiday is approaching, I frequently shop at Hallmark. I know a lot of people just think of greeting cards when they hear ‘Hallmark’, but it is much more than that. From books to movies and ornaments to games, they have something for everyone. When the holidays roll around, you can find products to create new memories, traditions and warm that special someone’s heart. My Holiday Gift Guide would not be complete without some wonderful products from Hallmark.
Hallmark has a HUGE collection of Keepsake Ornaments. One of my favorites is the North Pole Countdown ornament. It has a dial with dates from 1 to 25. When you turn the dial, a jolly radio host comes on saying how many days are left until Christmas and gives updates from the North Pole, such as reindeer feedings, elves singing and what’s cooking in the bakery. It is entertaining to listen to and my sons get excited every morning to listen to the new update.
Nifty Tip – I try to do an activity each day that corresponds with what is going on in the North Pole for extra family fun. For example, when they talk about the cookies in the bakery, we bake holiday cookies.
Another great Hallmark gift comes from their Interactive Storybook collection. A Visit to the North Pole is probably one of the most remarkable books I have seen. When the book is read out loud, there are prompts at the end of each page that triggers the main characters to talk and ask questions. After a reply is said out loud, the character responds to the answer. My son was surprised when Santa started talking to him and asking questions. He loved having a conversation with Santa and helping him make decisions as everyone gets ready for Christmas. At the end of the book, my son says ‘Again! Again!’ each time we read it.
No holiday is complete without the perfect greeting cards. Even in this digital day in age, I still love sending paper greeting cards. They can put a smile on loved ones faces and make someone’s day. Hallmark has many card collections including the Signature and Interactive greetings. The Signature greetings not only share joyous words, but they also have exquisite textures and designs that can be displayed as home decor. The Interactive cards features countdowns, recordable wish lists and more. The card with the snow globe pictured above actually has a button to get the snow moving. All the cards are high quality and will definitely make the recipient feel special.
