Great for a main dish or as an appetizer during gameday, these pulled pork sliders topped with fries are a sure hit with friends and family.
This time of year is filled with all sorts of sporting events, which means we are continuously hosting a slew of watch parties. When we get together on game day, there is always plenty of good eats. We have finger foods, snacks, side dishes, desserts, entrees and everything in between. That means we have to stock up on our favorite foods, like McCain® products.
Last week when I was getting food at Walmart for our weekly meal preps, I was sure to grab some more bags of McCain products. Bonus: Until 5/31/19, you can get $1.50 off when you purchase 2 participating McCain products at Walmart. You can submit your rebate & learn more details here!
McCain® has a nice variety of products that are great for dipping and layering, perfect for any game day. We can use different or the same ones in various ways, always changing it up for new flavors.
Like all their products, McCain’s Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries have a crispy exterior for a satisfying crunch with every bite. That crunch paired with the thin cut size makes them awesome for loading them up with toppings… or using them to top off some sliders! You heard that right. Fries right on the sliders.
Easy Pulled Pork Sliders Topped with Fries Recipe
To make Pulled Pork Sliders Topped with Fries, all you need is your favorite pulled pork, McCain® Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries, sweet barbeque sauce, diced green onion, and slider buns.
Don’t have a favorite pulled pork recipe? We always make ours in the slow cooker, and we make a lot. It is great for meal prepping and large gatherings. In a slow cooker add the following:
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4-6 pound pork shoulder (or 2 smaller ones to equal that) rubbed with a mixture of seasonings:
- 1 tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
Cook in the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. When ready to serve, remove pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
To make the sliders, you will want to start by preparing the McCain Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries, per the package. Once the fries are finished, add pulled pork to the bottom of a slider bun.
Next, add 4-6 McCain Craft Beer Battered Thin Cut Fries and drizzle on some barbecue sauce.
That’s it! You can also try using other crispy McCain® products on the sliders.
While we have a game on the television, we can layout the sliders, vegetables, dips, and more McCain products like Seasoned Curly Fries Seasoned Potato Fries and Extra Crispy Crinkle Fries. Yum!
