This summer has been flying by! July is already almost over and soon school will be starting. Before we start talking back-to-school already, I am still thinking about all the fun we have had so far this summer. It has been pretty eventful with lots of fun-loving moments with my boys.
This summer has been filled with many ‘firsts’ for the kids. It started back in May when they stayed in their first hotel on our mini weekend vacation. Then only a few weeks later,we went on our first family road trip and the kids got to visit a beach for the first time ever. It was an action packed month, to say the least. However, sometimes it’s the little things that matter the most to them.
It’s all about those little things we do every summer, but the first time is always the most exciting. Like the first time we fill the little pool and hook up the sprinklers in the backyard. Or the first time we go to the park with a walking trail and walk through the woods. Or the first time we go to the big playground with the really big slide. The boys won’t let me forget the first picnic or trip to the ice cream shop this year either.
The one thing all these things have in common? They are all outdoors and they all involve three little ones that are full of energy. No matter what we are doing, they are running around non-stop.
Therefore, accidents are typically unavoidable. These boys just don’t slow down. There are always new little bruises or scrapes almost daily (I won’t even go into the more serious injuries we have already had). No matter where we go, I have to make sure I have a first aid kit on hand. I take one when we go to the park, throw a few things in my purse if I have to, and always have one ready at the house.
Scrapes and little cuts are the most common. They kids like to just brush it off and keep running around. I prefer to at least clean the wound before they get back to playing to prevent infections. That has become extremely easy with Puracyn® Wound & Skin Care. The spray is free of antibiotics, steroids and alcohol so it doesn’t sting and the little ones aren’t bothered by it.
It is my first step in first aids with cuts and scrapes. I can easily wash off the wound with a few simple sprays with no need for ointments, running water, and I don’t even touch the skin. It is great for on-the-go, since I can easily throw the 4oz bottle in my bag or pocket.
There is also a fun giveaway going on right now. The Puracyn® Favorite Summer Firsts Giveaway runs until July 24th with winners receiving one of four summer themed prize packages that include a first aid kit and Puracyn® Wound & Skin Care product. Learn more and enter on Puracyn’s Facebook Page.
