I love doing those ‘girly’ things. You know, laying out by the pool, going shopping, getting my hair and nails done, then going shopping some more. That’s how my days were scheduled almost every single day. Then I became a mom. A boy mom to three adventurous daredevils.

Years and years ago, my husband and I loved going on road trips and traveling. Three kids later, those things seemed nearly impossible and honestly, quite intimidating. How could we sanely manage three kids under the age of 4 in unknown territory? How would we survive? However, this year I knew the impossible had to be conquered.

Theme night (or days) are always a hit in my house. We like to have movie nights, themed dinner parties, game nights, etc. For me, it’s more of an easy excuse to have some family time. No matter what we are gathering together for, food and family are always the common factors.
One of the activities on our Fall Bucket List included apple picking so we visited a local orchard over the weekend. It was the last day of the picking season, so there weren’t that many left on the trees, but the boys really enjoyed it.
This past weekend my oldest turned four. I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. They just grow up too fast. We got him a pretty awesome present for his birthday that I am hoping it lasts a long time. They definitely love it already.
The last couple weeks have been hectic in my house. I didn’t even have the chance to get to the store to do my normal shopping or my bulk shopping. It is times like this, I remember one of the main reasons I stock up on everyday essentials.

I love visiting attractions around St. Louis throughout the year with the family. Luckily, there are a good number of family-friendly and budget-friendly places in the area. One of the most popular free attractions in St. Louis is Grant’s Farm. I haven’t been there since I was a kid so I have been looking forward to taking my little ones this year. Last Saturday (April 13th, 2013) was their opening day for the season. Sunday was really nice out so we headed out for a day of fun.
