With summer in full swing and my oldest son home every day, I do what I can to fit learning into our activities. Pulling out an activity book sometimes works, but isn’t as fun as hands-on learning and definitely doesn’t hold their attention as long. Taking learning activities to the backyard makes for hours of fun.

With endless energy and a constant need to use their imaginations, keeping three kids busy and entertained can sometimes be difficult. My kids are yet to say, “I’m bored” but their actions can easily speak those dreaded words loudly.

I have been spending a great deal of time focusing back-to-school time on Ethan since he will be entering Kindergarten in two weeks. But I can’t forget about Chase, who will now be heading off the preschool this year. He is just as eager to be going to school and can’t wait to learn more.

This weekend we are going on our first family road trip (one of two this month). We are taking our older two boys (3 &4) to Branson for a couple nights. It is a four hour drive and I am not quite sure how they are going to handle it. I have been trying to find things to take so they don’t get bored easily while we are on-the-go.
