One thing we started doing more this summer was going to the local library. I was always hesitant to take the boys, since they are younger and have a hard time keeping their voices down. I found out that our library has a section just for kids with a play area and they offer a children’s summer reading program. The program just ended last week, but I decided to do more at home to encourage the kids to read and build our personal library.

Father’s Day is just around the corner. I show the dads in my life unconditional love year-round, however I still like to give them something personal on Father’s Day. Something with a special meaning behind it. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with the right gift, but when it comes to my dad, anything car related is a win.

Personalized gifts are kind of my thing and I love coming up with creative gift ideas for loved ones. Gifts that are one-of-a-kind and have deep meaning. Ones that can tell a story just by looking at it. Ones that can be gifted at any time throughout the year, holiday or not. It’s all about making loved ones feel special.

When my oldest started Kindergarten last year, I wasn’t prepared for a lot of things. One of those things happen to be birthday parties. Don’t get me wrong, we attend plenty of birthdays with family and friends, but when your 5 year old wants to go to everyone’s birthday that has a party (with a room of kindergartners), it’s a little different.

I love spring weather. That time when in the morning I need a light jacket and then it’s in the low 70s through the day. The time I can open the windows and let the fresh air breeze through the house. It’s the prefect running weather to me. But where did it go? I feel like spring just vanished. Non-existent. Poof. Gone.
