I know I am not alone here, so someone tell me you’ve started putting Halloween decorations up already. I admit, in the past I always waited until October 1st to do so. Then last year I think I started a few days sooner. This year, some were already up last week. I just couldn’t wait any longer.

It’s the first week of October, which means my family is in full-fledged Halloween mode. No matter what happens throughout each year, the month of October always seems to be my favorite. The days may start to get shorter and our schedules may become more full, but it is worth it. Chilly nights, apple picking, falling leaves, bonfires, and scarf weather are just some of my fall favorites.

Decorating this year for Halloween has been a lot of fun. The boys are finally old enough to really enjoy the holiday fun. For the last few weeks, we have been slowly adding decorations to the house and making Halloween crafts.  For the latest addition, I made and framed a 5×7 subway art to complete our mantle.
