It’s a Five Friday – September 19th Edition

Happy (late) Friday! Another week of writing this a little later than I wanted, but we were out of the house most of the day and now looking forward to the weekend.

For now, let’s look back at some of this week’s happenings:

STL Cake Hunt

1. This year St. Louis turned 250. To celebrate, 250+ large cakes (decorated by local artists) were placed throughout the area. This morning we went cake hunting with a friend and her kids. She is trying to see all the cakes before they take them down at the end of the year. Our outing yesterday put her at 70 cakes visited.

2. Ethan had his first ‘Picture Day’ today, which sounds like it was successful. I guess we will found out for sure when the prints come back!

3. This week I started shopping for a new camera again. I keep talking myself out if it, but hopefully I will just cave and get one.

4. Until today, this week hasn’t been that sunny (or warm). We have had gloomy, overcast skies with colder fall temperatures. It was hard to resist the urge to break out the fall and Halloween decorations. I did however pull out my Chai K-Cups, which is one of my favorite fall drinks.

5. With the fall temperatures, it seemed like the best time to make the first homemade Crock Pot Chili of the season. I am bringing all the Fall stuff out before we know it!

So how has your week been so far? Have a fabulous weekend!
